The Uglies trilogy is a grand adventure of the future. Tally Youngblood is 15 and thriving but there is one problem she is uglies and waiting to go 'under the knife'. All she has to worry about is waiting 2 months to go across the river and become drop dead gorgeous. One day she meets a girl named shay also waiting to become pretty. One thing she doesn't want to. Instead she runs away and leaves a coded message for tally so she could follow.But when Special Circumstanes (the protectors of outer intelligence) ends up blackmailing her she has only 2 choices. Find her friend and turn her in or don't turn pretty at all.
I love this book because it is packed full with adventure, romance, betrail, and ultimatums.
